The University of Virginia Health System (UVA Health) is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist to join our Community Division. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of musculoskeletal imaging in a collegial, supportive environment serving Prince William Hospital, Haymarket Medical Center and Gainesville Outpatient Imaging Center. The role combines the advantages of a dynamic community-based practice with the academic connection and resources of a nationally recognized university health system. The successful candidate will devote approximately 90-95% effort to clinical service and 5-10% to administrative and service activities, with flexibility to adapt as the division evolves. Position is a hybrid model with coverage on-site for procedures and remote for screening mammography interpretations. Clinical Responsibilities Interpret a comprehensive range of breast imaging studies, including Mammography, MRI and Ultrasound of the breasts. Perform and interpret image-guided breast procedures, such as localizations and biopsies, as appropriate. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and provide consultative expertise for referring physicians and technical staff. Collaborate closely with surgical oncologists, oncologists, primary care providers and pathologists to ensure the highest-value use of imaging studies. Share in the division's clinical schedule. Service & Administrative Responsibilities Contribute to divisional quality improvement, workflow optimization, and patient safety initiatives. Participate in peer review, protocol development, and marketing/recruitment efforts. Work collaboratively with technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality imaging protocols and timely service. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree; board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. Fellowship training in Breast Imaging. Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
