SHIELD: Journeyman Analyst

LOCATIONS: Huntsville, AL

SUMMARY: The Journeyman Analyst provides comprehensive administrative and project support to the SHIELD Program Office and its directorates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Provide comprehensive support to the SHIELD Program Office and its directorates
  • Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and assemble materials for multiple executives
  • Assist with travel arrangements through the Defense Travel System (DTS) and ensure compliance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and briefings in accordance with Army regulations (AR 25-50)
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems, including personnel records, organizational charts, and contact lists
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling and assist with team building events and logistics
  • Enforce timekeeping processes and ensure timely completion of time entries, leave slips, and other ATAAPS tasks
  • Provide project and engineering support, including managing conference rooms, facilitating special projects, and assisting senior leadership as needed


NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
  • Familiarity with Army regulations and correspondence formats (AR 25-50)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:

  • Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance
