Associate Stormwater/Environmental Scientist
Overview NV5 is growing our Water Resources Team in Southern California with the addition of an Associate Stormwater/Environmental Scientist. We are seeking a broadly experienced individual familiar with Municipal Stormwater/NPDES Permits, Monitoring, Reporting, and/or Municipal Jurisdictional/Watershed Management Programs. Strength in Phase I Municipal Stormwater/NPDES Permit Compliance Programs is preferred and/or experience with Phase II NPDES Permits, Industrial, and Construction Permits. Relative to the candidate's degree and/or number of years of experience, the ideal candidate will help develop, provide management support, and execute cutting-edge water quality monitoring and assessment projects and Jurisdictional compliance programs for NV5's Municipal clients. The selected candidate will work closely with professionals in water quality monitoring and assessment, hydrology, stormwater planning and program management. This position provides a unique opportunity to development management skills with a pathway to municipal project management leadership to support important water quality, sediment, and stormwater compliance projects in Southern California. The selected candidate will work with a broad range of scientists, GIS experts, engineers, and planners that are focused on solving complex water quality and regulatory issues. This position offers the opportunity to develop innovative compliance reporting approaches, assist with identification of management strategies and regulatory needs and develop and implement monitoring programs that are designed to accurately assess current conditions/trends. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include:
Assistant Project Management - support management of municipal water quality monitoring and reporting projects. Effectively manage projects to provide high value to our clients while staying within budget, scope, and schedule constraints. This includes supervising, planning, designing, prioritizing and providing demonstrated project management expertise. Provide exceptional quality assurance and quality control on client deliverables.

The pay range for this California position is $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
