SUMMARY: The Production Associate is tasked with following all production processes to meet or exceed quality, safety, productivity, and cost standards. The position will be part of an innovative team that is properly trained to meet the changing requirements of the operation. Major duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. DUTIES:
Place components of meat, cheese, crackers, and treats in individual trays Perform period cleaning duties as instructed by the period cleaning schedule Cleaning of equipment according to all Kraft sanitation guidelines Provide assistance on changeovers of equipment Perform various housekeeping duties including sweeping, emptying trashcans, paper wagons and trash wagons to keep work area in a clean and orderly fashion Adhere to all Company and Garland Plant GMPs along with rules and regulations Development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System and the assurance that all products processed, packaged, stored, and distributed are produced in compliance with all Regulatory, Customer and Kraft Heinz requirements. Responsible to operate under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values & adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs Work toward achieving an injury free environment. Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards, Injuries/illnesses, and other losses to supervisors.
SHIFT & PAY:
2nd shift M-F 3p-11:30p $17.00 per hour base pay plus $0.25 shift premium 3rd shift M-F 11p-7:30a $17.00 per hour base pay plus $0.75 shift premium If sanitation duties are given to experienced candidates, there will be an additional $2/hr for the 3-4 hours that sanitation takes place (not a daily task) There will be required overtime and work on weekends during peak season that will of course come with overtime pay

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is cold 38 to 42 degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
