JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Berks is hiring Part-Time temporary Summer Camp Assistants.

Individuals over 18 years of age are invited to apply as a camp assistant for week long camps for middle and high school students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Camp set up/clean up

  • Assisting instructors and students with projects

  • Supervising students at breaks and lunch times

  • Promoting a fun environment daily

Candidates should have:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Be able to lift and carry equipment and materials with or without accommodation as needed

  • Enjoy working with children

  • Maintain a sanitary physical environment in their specific area of use

Camps are enrollment driven and may be canceled with minimal notice.

Candidates must participate in the Mandated Reporter Training (1 hour)

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form

  • FBI Criminal Background Check
