Human Resources Coordinator

Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level for the region. This position carries out responsibilities in all HR functional areas with an emphasis on onboarding, compliance, and HR administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete day-to-day tasks of providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and programs to employees within the region.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding process for the region and ensure compliance. Process all paperwork including I-9s.
  • Post open positions, screen applications, and coordinate on-site interviews.
  • Provide benefit administration support by communicating benefits offered, handling benefit inquiries, and escalating issues to Regional HR Manager.
  • Work with region on DOT requirements and paperwork with guidance from Corporate Safety.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Assist with required Affirmative Action Plan implementation and reporting, pursuant to OFCCP requirements.
  • Coordinate disability and FMLA requests and tracking with consultation from Corporate HR.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills

  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources Management or related.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Workday or related HRIS systems.
  • One or more years of human resources experience. Construction industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Location - This role will be in person at our West Valley City, UT office.
  • Office environment - Extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
