Position description

The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings in the Specialist Series in the field of tissue engineering throughout the academic year 2024-25. These positions offer a stimulating array of research and training opportunities within the various laboratories in the department.

Seeking qualified candidates with experience in the following tissue engineering areas:

Musculoskeletal system

Cardiovascular engineering

Immunoengineering

Biomaterials

Neuroengineering

Urinary and gastrointestinal engineering

Spatial cell biology

These positions require a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or biology and experience in the focus research area(s) listed above.

This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon availability of extramural funding. Initial appointments are generally one year and renewal is based on job performance and availability of support.
