General Experience
* 5 to 15 years work experience in full cycle accounting
* 5 years management experience, preferred
* CPA with 2 to 5 years public accounting experience
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or similar field
* Advanced computer skills, including Office suite applications and financial reporting tools
* Technical knowledge of GAAP requirements

Assets:
Experience with manufacturing assets and evaluation
Knowledge of GAAP rules on life, calculation of gains, capitalization requirements, new standards, etc.
Support Tax Department on reporting requirements and asset life determinations that differ from internal books
General Ledger:
Research & Analysis requests from Management
Assist with Month-End close process as needed
Support Audit Requests
Back Office Processing:
Assist in managing the back office processes of accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections
Identify and implement process improvements in the back office
Analysis:
Analysis of the General Ledger and Financial Statements
Ability to research and resolve financial reporting issues
Assess risk factors in managing working capital and knowledge of special factors impacting retail store operations
Special Projects

Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Controller with overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections.
Guide and assist other departments by clearly communicating current accounting and budgeting policy and procedures as well as composing and disseminating new procedures and policy as necessitated by best practices and changes in federal and state regulations
Support the training and development of staff, and delegate duties and authority to meet departmental and organizational goals.
