The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Program Manager, Employment Services who provides lasting solutions for people who are homeless, formally homeless and at risk of homelessness through assisting participants in obtaining employment. The manager will lead a team of employees in outreaching potential participants and assisting them in exploring career options, creating resumes, interview coaching, job searches, supported services (transportation, etc.), as well as follow along support after hire. The manager will be responsible all aspects of team supervision as well as for grant management and all associated reporting requirements. This position is located at 563 East Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO, and reports to the Director of Employment Services.

Essential Job Functions



  1. Responsible for all services provided under the grants for which they are responsible.
  2. Completion of all required reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. Monitors compliance with all grant outcome requirements.
  4. Works closely with accounting department on management of grant funds.
  5. Recruits and hires all staff within their program(s).
  6. Responsible for direction and supervision of staff within their program(s).
  7. Provides all job descriptions, reports, and reviews necessary.
  8. Provides direct services when necessary.
  9. Works closely with all other CCH programs and managers to develop an integrated system of care.
  10. Implements quality improvement activities, providing oversight, implementation, documentation and follow-up.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary



  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in appropriate field.
  2. Supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Experience with employment or vocational services.
  4. High degree of knowledge regarding homelessness.
  5. Proven effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Ability to function effectively as a member of interdisciplinary team.
  7. Strong leadership skill as evidenced by previous roles, responsibilities and/or accomplishments.
  8. Ability to prioritize multiple job responsibilities, work independently and exercise sound professional judgment.
  9. Understanding of state and federal requirements regarding confidentiality, professional relationships, record keeping and other relevant matters.
  10. (Applicants who are Veterans are highly preferred if supervising a program that specializes in veteran services).
