About the Job

The University of Minnesota, Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences, has an occasional need for part-time, temporary instructors to teach day or evening classes. This does not constitute a posting for vacancies, but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2023-2024 academic year. Applications will not be acknowledged upon receipt. Applicants will only be contacted should an active opening occur during the academic year. Positions may be appointed during the 2023-2024 academic year: Fall 2023 (08/28/2023-01/10/2024) or Spring 2024 (01/11/2024-05/26/2024).

The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota occasionally needs teaching specialists or lecturers to teach courses that cannot be staffed by regular faculty or graduate students. Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis through academic year. Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Teaching specialists and lecturers will be expected to teach undergraduate or graduate students in assigned course(s), hold office hours to assist and advise students, and participate in relevant departmental meetings.
