Job Summary

The PreCollegiate Programs Department at CU Boulder invites applications for a PreCollegiate Development Programs Coordinator (PCDP) Coordinator! This position supports students in the University of Colorado Boulder Pre-Collegiate Development Program from seventh grade through 12th grade, and their first year of college at CU Boulder, guiding them as they transition to high school and prepare for and begin higher education. The coordinator conducts outreach to partner schools, builds partnerships with school personnel and community liaisons, and recruits sixth-grade students each spring, welcoming them through orientation before full programming begins in the fall. Working with a team of coordinators and program managers, the coordinator delivers programming across partner schools, Saturday Academies, the middle school leadership program, the high school summer residential program, and the Bridge Program. The coordinator also helps graduates' complete college enrollment steps, checks in with them regularly during their first year, connects them with campus resources, and supervises and trains student staff. The coordinator is expected to build strong, culturally responsive relationships with students and families, including Spanish-speaking families. Reporting to the PCDP Program Manager, the coordinator serves as a liaison between the university, school districts, middle and high schools and community organizations. A strong commitment to equitable access to higher education, cultural competence, and an asset-based approach to working with first-generation students and families is essential.

This is a three-year limited term position.
