About This Role
K-State Olathe (https://olathe.k-state.edu/) seeks an Event Services Assistant to support the Event Manager in delivering professional meetings, conferences, educational programs, and special events at the Kansas State University Olathe Campus. The Event Services Assistant coordinates daily event details, room preparations, catering and beverage services, and other event logistics. They maintain accurate reservations and event information in EMS, tracking deadlines and managing approved changes. The Event Services Assistant role provides professional, hospitality-focused communication and support for clients, guests, vendors, and campus partners, and supports on-site event operations while handling routine event needs. Worksite Description This position is Hybrid eligible. Hybrid work schedule will be determined in coordination with the supervisor based on operational and business needs. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: * A high school diploma (or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent experience.
