The Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development within Georgia State University's School of Public Health is dedicated to advancing research that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of children, families, and communities. Through innovative research, community partnerships, and evidence-based interventions, the Centers work to address critical public health challenges and improve outcomes across diverse populations.

The National Center for Sexual Violence Prevention (NCSVP) is seeking a Research Associate II (Sponsor Funded) to support and expand its research initiatives. This position will contribute to all aspects of federally funded research and support the Center's efforts to advance the field of public health through high-quality research, technical expertise, and research dissemination.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide technical and methodological oversight across active research projects to support study protocol fidelity, scientific integrity, and research quality.

  • Evaluate data collection quality, oversee complex data collection procedures, design protocol adaptations, and direct team members and students on specialized technical tasks, data management, and research compliance.

  • Provide technical assistance on complex experimental protocols and train lower-level staff and students in research protocols and procedures.

  • Facilitate routine and strategic project meetings focused on research execution, protocol troubleshooting, and quality control.

  • Prepare meeting agendas, lead meetings, document minutes, coordinate schedules, and follow up on action items and next steps with members of the research team.

  • Assist with identifying workflow inefficiencies and contribute to the development of process improvements and solutions when research or project-related challenges arise.

  • Lead post-award administrative and regulatory management for grants and help ensure compliance with funding agency standards and institutional requirements.

  • Communicate grant deadlines, administrative requirements, and reporting expectations to the research team and provide training and support to lower-level staff and students on administrative tasks.

  • Contribute to research dissemination activities, including scientific data analysis, preparation of scientific manuscripts and papers, and presentations at national conferences.

  • Mentor staff and students in research methods, data analysis, scientific writing, presentations, and other research-related activities.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Master's degree and one year of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
