Job Description

SUMMARY

The Qualifications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating cross-functional qualification activities to ensure titanium products progress through qualification programs on schedule and meet or exceed established technical, quality, and customer requirements. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Laboratory, Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Technical Resources to establish priorities, track qualification activities, identify potential schedule risks, and drive timely completion of qualification milestones.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-driven, and highly detail-oriented professional with a basic technical understanding of metals, energy, engineering, materials science, or quality systems and processes. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work effectively across multiple functions, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Coordinate titanium product qualification programs from initiation through completion, ensuring activities remain aligned with established qualification timelines.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Laboratory, Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Technical Resources to coordinate testing, processing, documentation, and other qualification requirements.

Develop and maintain qualification schedules, trackers, action-item lists, and status reports.

Monitor progress against qualification milestones and proactively identify schedule risks, gaps, and potential delays.

Communicate priorities, status, issues, and upcoming requirements to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Follow up with responsible stakeholders to ensure qualification activities and deliverables are completed on time.

Maintain accurate qualification records, documentation, and data in accordance with applicable quality systems and processes.

Assist in organizing laboratory testing, manufacturing activities, material evaluations, inspections, and other technical requirements associated with product qualification.

Review data and information for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to organize, analyze, track, and communicate qualification information.

Support development and continuous improvement of qualification processes, tracking systems, and reporting methods.

Help ensure qualification activities meet or exceed internal, customer, and applicable industry requirements.

Escalate issues that may affect qualification timelines and assist in developing recovery plans.

Maintain a strong focus on detail, accountability, follow-through, and timely execution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Quality, Energy, or a related technical field; or two or more years of relevant technical, manufacturing, laboratory, quality, planning, or coordination experience in lieu of a college degree.

Basic technical understanding of metals, materials, engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or quality systems and processes.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working independently.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel across multiple technical and operational functions.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, with intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency preferred.

Ability to learn technical processes, qualification requirements, and company-specific systems quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with titanium, specialty metals, aerospace materials, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Experience coordinating technical projects, qualification programs, testing activities, or manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with quality management systems and controlled documentation.

Experience creating Excel-based trackers, schedules, dashboards, or reports.

Familiarity with manufacturing, laboratory testing, material characterization, or product qualification processes.

Experience working in a cross-functional environment involving Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Laboratory organizations.
