Job Description

Shift:Day
Schedule: 7 AM to 7 PM; 2/2/3 rotating schedule
Pay Rate:
$23.00



Will be training on 1st shift once hired (7 AM to 3 PM on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule).



Position Summary:
Extrusion Operators are responsible for maintaining the quality of material being produced by continual adjustments of gauges that control extruder speed, temperatures, pressures, and winder speeds.



Responsibilities:



  • Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand
  • Sets up equipment operation feed, speed, and temperature
  • Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form, or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials
  • Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
  • Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
  • Responsibilities are within Manufacturing/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines
  • Create and distribute all production job packets for all presses.
  • Review all production orders for completion and accuracy, and ensure all orders are balanced with respect to production hours.
  • Proficient in SAP using several functions to track performance rates and yields.
  • Proficient in Excel to create trend charts for Production metrics
  • Track Safety engagements and update Safety charts monthly

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Computer Knowledge; 1-2 years of Windows applications.
  • Previous experience with SAP is preferred
