Custodial Associate Hours: This is a full-time, 40 hour/week role. Shift: We are looking for someone who can work early shifts such as 4:30am to 1:30pm, or late shifts such as 10:00am to 7:00pm. We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Custodial Associate to join our Facilities team. This role is primarily responsible for daily custodial and janitorial services, while also helping with light maintenance, facility setups, and general property upkeep. What You'll Do Keep Our Facilities Clean & Welcoming Perform daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other facility spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and maintain floors, surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish paper products, soap, and other supplies. Maintain break rooms and kitchen areas, including counters, sinks, appliances, and common-use spaces. Empty trash and recycling and keep waste collection areas clean and orderly. Perform periodic deep cleaning, including carpet and floor care and detail cleaning. Keep entrances, sidewalks, patios, and other exterior areas free of trash, leaves, and debris. Use equipment such as vacuums, blowers, carpet extractors, and power-washing equipment. Handle Basic Maintenance & Upkeep Perform basic, non-technical maintenance and minor repairs. Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, air filters, batteries, and similar facility components. Complete minor repairs to furniture, doors, cabinets, fixtures, and hardware. Perform touch-up painting and other minor cosmetic repairs. Identify maintenance concerns that require specialized support and bring them to the attention of Facilities management. Pitch In Where Needed Help move and organize furniture, equipment, supplies, and facility materials. Set up and restore rooms for meetings, events, and workplace activities. Assist with seasonal cleanup, property upkeep, and other hands-on Facilities projects. Help identify and address potential safety concerns such as spills, trip hazards, or damaged equipment. What We're Looking For You'll be a strong fit if you are someone who is dependable, takes pride in doing quality work, notices when something needs attention, and doesn't need to be reminded to take care of it. Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and good time-management skills. Ability to organize your work, follow established procedures, and complete routine responsibilities with limited supervision. Ability to safely use custodial equipment, cleaning products, and common hand tools. Professional and courteous communication skills. Basic computer and mobile-device skills for email, messaging, and routine work tasks. Preferred One year of custodial, janitorial, facilities, property maintenance, or related experience. Experience using commercial cleaning products and equipment. Basic experience with minor repairs or general maintenance. Bilingual English/Spanish skills. Because you may work in offices and other areas containing confidential information, good judgment and discretion are also important. What to Expect in This Role This is an active, hands-on position where you'll spend most of your workday on your feet and moving throughout our facilities. You should be comfortable: Standing and walking for extended periods and frequently bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and performing repetitive movements. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving supplies or objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and using assistance or appropriate equipment for heavier or awkward items. Using custodial equipment, basic hand tools, step stools, and ladders and safely navigating stairs. Working both indoors and outdoors, including around cleaning products, dust, dirt, wet surfaces, varying temperatures, and other conditions typical of custodial work. Traveling between Rize locations when needed and occasionally working early morning, evening, or weekend hours based on facility or event needs. This range is based on candidates living locally in California as this is an on-site role. Actual compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors. As part of the hiring process, candidates who receive a contingent offer will undergo a background investigation, which may include employment verification, credit review, criminal records search, Social Security verification, and government registry checks.
