Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: San Leandro, CA
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Industry: Defense Manufacturing
Compensation: $30-$35/hr DOE
Schedule: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
About the Opportunity:
This is an opportunity for an experienced Quality/Inspection professional to support the inspection and testing of purchased components, raw materials, equipment, assemblies, and finished products. This position works with limited supervision and requires the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and inspection requirements to determine product acceptance.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform inspections, tests, and audits of purchased parts, materials, equipment, and assemblies.
  • Inspect panel- and module-level assemblies throughout in-process and final production.
  • Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and parts lists to determine product acceptance.
  • Approve or reject components, assemblies, test setups, and finished products based on established requirements.
  • Perform incoming inspection and sampling of raw materials and purchased components.
  • Conduct testing and inspections to verify products meet company, customer, and quality standards.
  • Identify defective or malfunctioning components and assemblies.
  • Perform minor rework or corrective actions on defective units when required.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and report inspection and performance data.
  • Assist in developing or determining appropriate inspection methods and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve straightforward quality issues within established processes.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding inspection findings, requirements, and quality concerns.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years experience of quality inspection in a manufacturing environment
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, semiconductor, or other highly regulated manufacturing
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical inspection
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
