Job Description and Salary ArentFox Schiff is seeking a Counsel or Income Partner to join its nationally recognized Energy & Cleantech practice in any of our office locations. This position offers the opportunity to represent a diverse range of clients in complex regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters involving the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have transactional experience advising clients on the development, acquisition, sale and financing of regulated energy assets and have will also have significant experience practicing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including advising clients on regulatory compliance, enforcement, rate, market, transmission, and related proceedings. In addition to substantial FERC experience, candidates should have experience handling matters before state public utility commissions and other state energy regulatory agencies. The successful candidate will represent clients in regulatory and litigation matters, provide strategic regulatory counseling, and support energy-related mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. This role will involve working closely with colleagues across the firm's energy, corporate, and litigation practices to help clients navigate the evolving energy regulatory landscape, and, if the firm's needs require it, supporting litigation in other regulated industries. Preferred Qualifications
We are open to considering candidates at the Counsel or Income Partner level, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates seeking Income Partner consideration should possess a portable book of business of at least $500,000, together with a demonstrated ability to cultivate client relationships and expand their practice. The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $400,000 to a maximum of $500,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a comprehensive bonus program with opportunities for discretionary incentives that may include productivity, business development, and merit-based components, subject to applicable policies.
