Operational Quality Intern - Summer 2027

The Operational Quality Intern will support Food Safety & Quality initiatives across the Masters Gallery Foods enterprise, including projects at Oostburg, Plymouth, and Willows locations. This role will assist with food safety and quality improvement projects, data collection and analysis for foreign material inspection technologies, and the maintenance and updating of quality documentation, including HACCP plans and related food safety programs. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Support food safety and quality improvement projects.
  • Collect and analyze quality and food safety data.
  • Assist with foreign material inspection projects.
  • Update and maintain HACCP plans and quality documentation.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and product evaluations.
  • Work with Operations, Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Gain hands-on experience with food safety systems, quality programs, and continuous improvement practices.


What You Can Offer:



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Dairy Science, Biology, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous food manufacturing, laboratory, quality, or internship experience preferred but not required. Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in food safety and quality systems.
