Packaging Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

The Packaging Engineer Intern will support the Packaging Engineering team in the development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of packaging systems used in food manufacturing operations. This role provides hands-on experience with packaging materials, equipment, manufacturing processes, and project management activities.

Duties / Responsibilities:



  • Assist with the development and validation of packaging materials and formats.
  • Support package performance testing in a lab setting.
  • Collect, analyze, and report packaging performance data.
  • Support packaging trials and line testing activities.
  • Support root cause investigations for packaging defects and non-conforming materials.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives by supporting packaging waste reduction projects.
  • Review packaging specifications and technical drawings for accuracy and validation.


What You Can Offer:



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Previous working experience in a Manufacturing environment or related experience is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Interest in food manufacturing and consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
