WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Inspect sheet stock, weldments, machined parts, castings, and assemblies for quality and conformance to specifications
  • Perform final visual inspections to identify defects such as cracks, pits, dents, burrs, nicks, and incomplete welds
  • Learn and perform a variety of part-marking processes, including Chemical Etch, Bar Code Labels, Ink Stamping, Laser Etching, Dot Peen, and Vibra-Pencil
  • Assist with receiving inspection and verify materials meet specifications and purchase order requirements
  • Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, scales, thread gages, and bore gages
  • Perform basic measurements and material hardness checks
  • Learn basic CMM inspection functions, including measurements such as diameter and roundness
  • Compare completed parts and assemblies to drawings, routings, parts lists, specifications, and sample models
  • Review supplier certifications and calibration records and maintain accurate inspection documentation
  • Identify defective parts and communicate quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:



  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous quality inspection experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
