Quality Engineer

Nature of Job Duties / Responsibilities:

• Support customers and internal teams in resolvingqualityissuesin a systematic manner applying technical expertise and critical problem solving skills
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve internal and customerqualityissues.
• Provide strong technical support to help manage the development of permanent globalprocessoptimizationsand corrective actions for discreet quality events.
• Perform trend analysis onqualitydata to proactively identify defects and lead corrective action initiatives.
• Possess complete working knowledge of and ensure compliance to in-house and/or externalqualityspecifications and standards; Sanmina QMS, IPC6012 / IPC6013 / IPCA600, ISO9001 / ISO14001, TL9000, NADCAP, and AS9100 regulations.
• Perform at a high level of professionalism functioning as a Primary CustomerContact.
• Be an outspoken advocate forQualityFirst throughout the plant.
• Perform otherqualityrelated activities as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors of Science inChemistry, Physics, or Materials Engineering is required.
• PCBManufacturingor Contract Manufacturing experience required.
• Minimum of 5years ofQualityor Engineering experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of the followingQualityManagement Systems: ISO9001, ISO14001,TL9000,Nadcap.
• Six Sigma, Lean processes, Certifications inQualityfield or technical knowledgerequired.
• Experience withqualitytools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA),Control Plans, Design of Experiments (DOE), 8D CorrectiveActionprocessandverification.
• Must be able to work well with cross-functional teams to positively resolve internaland externalqualityissues
• Previous experience with Military, Defense, ITAR, and IPC Standards is strongly desired.
• Excellent communication skills(e.g.email, phone, face to face),including manufacturing, engineering, management, and customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite,Oracle Agile PLM software, and Minitab. Proven ability to adapt to and learn new software systems quickly.
• Certified Green or Black beltrequired.
• Internal audit experiencerequired.

Salary Range (annual) : $82,000.00 - $100,00.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
