Key Responsibilities



  • Provide creative direction and quality control for all short-form video outputs, ensuring platform fit, optimal pacing, strong hooks, and strategic alignment.
  • Deliver specific, actionable feedback on video cuts, including timing, framing, moment selection, and text overlay placement.
  • Ensure all content adheres to social media best practices across diverse short-form video platforms.
  • Maintain and continuously improve content quality standards.
  • Receive and interpret strategic briefs from content managers, translating them into prioritized clip assignments for the team.
  • Manage the daily production queue for video clips across various content categories and cultural moments.
  • Monitor volume targets and turnaround times, proactively identifying and flagging any capacity constraints.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the AI-powered content creation workflow.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with publishing teams to ensure efficient asset handoff.
  • Operate advanced AI-powered content creation tools, serving as a subject matter expert for the team.
  • Identify opportunities for tool optimization, including prompt strategies and workflow shortcuts.
  • Contribute to feedback loops with product and engineering teams for tool enhancement.
  • Produce video clips directly as needed to support high-volume periods or complex creative briefs.
  • Onboard, train, and coach social editors on tool usage, social best practices, and quality standards.
  • Establish clear quality rubrics for content across different platforms.
  • Conduct regular calibration sessions to ensure consistency and excellence across the editorial team.


Required Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in social media content creation, video editing, or social publishing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in short-form video best practices across leading social media platforms.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior creative professionals.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage high-volume, fast-turnaround workflows.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered creative tools, including generative AI, automated editing, and NLP-based tools.
  • Deep understanding of social platform algorithms, engagement drivers, and various content formats.
  • Mastery or expertise in industry-standard video editing software.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Exceptional editorial taste and judgment that elevates content beyond functional execution.
  • Comfortable operating at high volume without compromising quality.
  • A bias for action, thriving in fast-paced, real-time content environments.
  • Ability to translate strategic briefs into clear, specific creative direction for a team.
  • Experience in entertainment, media, or streaming content is preferred.
