Job Summary: The mental health therapist clinician is responsible for formulating the plan of care and coordinating treatment for the patient while on inpatient psychiatry. The clinician is also responsible for treatment plan updates, after care planning and written documentation of the discharge plan, including all treatment interventions provided while the patient was in our care. Able to demonstrate professional flexibility and effectively coordinate high acuity patient care with multiple providers. Provides psychoeducation and skills based psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals receiving care on Inpatient Psychiatry. Daily/weekly evaluation of establish roster of group and individualized to specific patient populations within the milieu. Coordination with the patient care team and development of individual patient therapies. Review and develop of new therapeutic processing groups and techniques to incorporate into existing programming. Outside of direct patient care, the Mental Health Clinician will participate in committees dedicated to improving patient care. Education: Applicant must hold current State of Vermont, Clinical Mental Health Counselor License or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. A valid LCMHC or LICSW license is required to apply for this position. Training or certification may be required in a specific area: Case Management, Group Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or Substance Use Treatment. Experience: A minimum 3 years' direct experience post licensure providing individual, family and group psychotherapy preferred. Training in suicide risk assessment and symptom reduction. Experience with co-occurring disorders (including substance use disorder and medical complications) and multi-axial diagnostic presentations. Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their role in treatment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. Knowledge of addictive disorders and populations. Experience working with a multidisciplinary team. Additional clinical certifications and skills in specific clinical specialties are welcomed. | |
