Job Summary This position is located at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH.Full time nights: 10pm - 6:30am, Mon-Fri, rotating weekends once fully trained. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, our Sterile Processing Technicians perform the daily cleaning, inspection and sterilization of our surgical instruments in support of the operating room and outpatient practices. Summary Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure. Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor. Qualifications Education - ability to follow dept processes and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards and guidelines. - ability to work in a fast-paced environment built on a foundation of teamwork.
