About this Role - Purchasing Agent We are looking for a talented Purchasing Agent that has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for coordinating the activities involved with the pricing of estimates and the purchasing of materials in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. What You'll Do - Partner with the estimating department to develop pricing for project estimates - Collaborate with project management to prepare submittal documents for material and equipment approval - Purchase materials that meet project specifications, schedules, and budget requirements - Negotiate with vendors on pricing, availability, and delivery schedules - Track and manage actual material costs against estimated budgets - Expedite material shipments to keep construction schedules on track - Maintain and update estimating software and procurement records - Partner with Accounts Payable to verify invoice accuracy - Coordinate the return of excess or surplus materials What You'll Bring - 3-5 years of purchasing experience in electrical utility, industrial/commercial materials, or equivalent related experience - Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Working knowledge of current purchasing practices and systems - Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills - Strong communication, organizational, presentation, and analytical skills - Proven ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and JD Edwards - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain preferred What You'll Get - 401(k) with company match (Traditional & Roth) - Paid Holidays and PTO - Medical, Dental, and Vision - Flexible Spending Accounts - Health Savings Account - Voluntary Benefits - Accident Insurance - Hospital Indemnity Insurance - Critical Illness Insurance - LifeLock Identity Theft Protection - Employee Discounts - Short-Term & Long-Term Disability For more benefit details click here! | |
