Employment Type: Contract (6 months)

Compensation: $ 22.00-$33.00/hr.
Schedule: 40 hrs/Week.

What You'll Do:
  • This job family defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a service or manufactured material, component, or product.
  • Activities include auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of processes or outputs, either against defined internal or regulatory standards, reporting on process deviations and defects.
  • Positions in this sub-family are responsible for developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems/protocols including: devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment; designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis to assess the level of control and manage product quality risks; undertaking root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action; and ensuring that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

  • Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and accuracy
  • The Quality Engineer (QE) will support Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) for spacecraft involving Thermal Vacuum, Dynamic, Propulsion, and EMI testing.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable procedures and Customer contract requirements during the EVT campaign.
  • Support pre-test meetings by verifying test setup configuration, test equipment calibration is current, and flight software versions are current.
  • Support post-test meetings by verifying all signoffs are complete, all requirements have been met, and all test flags or nonconformances dispositioned appropriately.
  • Document and facilitate timely disposition of nonconformances (NCs) and test flags through TIPQA/Teamcenter/IMBS/MBS systems.
  • Support operational tasks including integration and testing, installations, bus movements, and other activities.
  • Participate in daily planning and update meetings with Customer for communication of quality issues and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, and QE team to resolve issues and ensure smooth test execution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) as needed.
  • Review and completed End Item Data Packs (EIDPs)
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in Aerospace.
  • 5+ years of experience in industry quality standards, Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures, and Customer contract needed.
  • 5+ years of experience in AS9100
  • 5+ years of experience in performing RCCA analysis
What Sets You Apart:
  • Strong RCCA facilitation experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word,
  • Project, etc.).
  • Experience with Engineering Validation Testing strongly.
  • AS9100/ISO9001
  • Achieved Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certificate
  • J-STD-001
