The Senior Buyer is responsible for procuring engineered equipment, materials, and services for EPC projects. This role manages the full procurement cycle, ensuring purchases meet project requirements for cost, quality, schedule, and compliance while supporting successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities from requisition through purchase order award and closeout.
  • Prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate bids, and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Source and manage suppliers for engineered equipment, bulk materials, and subcontracted services.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, logistics, and construction teams to support project schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve commercial issues, and mitigate procurement risks.
  • Administer purchase orders, change orders, and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Procurement experience in an EPC, industrial, energy, or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, commercial negotiations, contract administration, and supplier management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
