Position Description
As part of Georgia State University's strategic initiative to lead in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and financial technology (FinTech) - especially as applied to financial services - we plan to recruit faculty who will add depth and breadth in this interdisciplinary area. This advertisement is for a non-tenure track Professor of Practice position in the Department of Computer Information Systems at the Robinson College of Business.
Required Experience
Candidates should be qualified to contribute to research projects, teach courses, and develop innovative curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels in topics encompassing AI applications and innovations in financial technologies.
Applicants must have a rich and extensive base of industry experience (normally, at least twenty five years) in the field of information technology, financial technology or related areas, which can be leveraged to develop practice-anchored learning opportunities such as internships, apprenticeships and capstone projects. Ideal candidates will also have held senior executive positions leading strategic initiatives that involve varied stakeholders.
Required Education
Candidates should hold an earned doctoral degree in a relevant field with an emphasis on bridging research and practice from an accredited university.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Prefer experience in artificial intelligence and financial technology.
