Job Summary
The Associate Chief Information Officer for Digital Infrastructure Technologies serves as a senior technology leader within the Maricopa County Community College District's (MCCCD) Information Technology Services (ITS) division. This executive role will advance the district's mission of academic excellence, innovation, and community impact through secure, modern, resilient, and reliable digital infrastructure services. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Associate CIO is responsible for leading the strategic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of the district's enterprise infrastructure technologies, ensuring technology services align with institutional priorities and supporting teaching, learning, and administrative excellence. A central responsibility of this role is to strengthen technical service reliability, clarify enterprise service ownership in a decentralized environment, while reducing technical complexity and building confidence in shared technology services across MCCCD. As a key member of the District Office Senior IT leadership team, the Associate CIO partners with the CIO to develop and execute the district's digital infrastructure strategy, driving enterprise modernization initiatives across networking, cloud platforms, data centers, identity services, collaboration technologies, and infrastructure operations. This leader is responsible for evaluating emerging technologies, recommending strategic investments, and implementing scalable, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure solutions that enhance service delivery and position MCCCD for future growth. The Associate CIO will translate strategy into multiyear infrastructure roadmaps that they will have responsibility for operationalizing with measurable service outcomes. Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a field related to the intended area of assignment, and four (4) years of progressively responsible management and/or leadership experience which is related to the intended area of assignment and includes at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Equivalency allowed; however, a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in a supervisory capacity is required. Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or relevant industry certifications sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Special Working Conditions
There is a mandatory minimum in-office expectation in which the District reserves the right to update at any time. The selected candidate will need to reside in the Phoenix area or relocate within one month of hire. Occasional travel to campus and satellite locations. This role may involve after hours work and non-regular business hours. This leader will be measured on ITS values, leadership principles, and job performance areas as referenced above. May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor. May be required to present in large meetings and sponsored events.
