In This Role, You Will:
Provide inpatient care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. Join a Critical Care Team of over 20 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and over 80 physicians on the Critical Care team providing cutting edge care to our critically ill patients throughout the M Health Fairview system.There is a strong multi-professional culture within all the critical care teams. Our APPs are respected as an essential team member regardless of patient population or location. You will be working autonomously with collaboration from critical care attendings and primary teams. You will make rapid assessment and treatment decisions in accordance with American Heart Association, Neurocritical Care Society and current standards of care. You will consult specialists as appropriate, and determine and facilitate patients receiving appropriate level of care. Utilize excellent communication skills and precise written and verbal handoffs to subsequent healthcare teams. Bring patience, motivation and determination to provide best critical care possible no matter the environment. Respond to events, expedite assessments and create a differential diagnosis and treatment plan quickly. Perform with exceptional outstanding collaboration abilities. Be willing to acquire get privileges in relevant procedures. This is not a benefited eligible position.
Your Schedule:
We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program. Licensed with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's). Certified or eligible for certification through ANCC, AANP or NCCPA. Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileging Experienced in the critical care environment. Robust experience in Cardiothoracic and surgical ICUs preferred. Able to manage a variety of situations, staff and environments using leadership skills. Bringing strong pathophysiology, pharmacology and knowledge of acute care treatment of patients Able to lead Code Blue, Rapid Response, Stroke Code Able to respond to sepsis alerts and treat per protocol Focused on education, detail oriented and a creative problem-solver Strong in the knowledge of dual diagnosis mental health and medical conditions Using ongoing closed loop communication in all things situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer
M Physicians will provide compensation in the amount of $1,020 for each 12 hour shift. The hourly equivalent rate for the position is $85.00 per hour. Eligible for additional shift differentials. This casual position is not benefits-eligible. M Physicians will provide Professional Liability/Medical Malpractice Insurance.
