Hill International is seeking a Project Engineer in Livermore, California


  • Administrative assistance on updating procedures and processes related to project and construction management.
  • Create and track service requests for permits, maintenance, security, and minor modifications team support.
  • Track and manage project items in the project software system Newforma.
  • Submit and track design packages for reviews.
  • Submit Computer Aided Drafting work requests, web shippers, reapplication requests, and other work requests.
  • Support escorting uncleared personnel as needed.
  • Organize design and/or construction progress meetings, develop and distribute meeting minutes and project logs.
  • Create electronic project folder using Uniform Filing Index (UFI) project folder template. Put project documentation in
    electronic project folders.
  • Assist with completion of Code Compliance Traveler form.
  • Complete design firm request form following receipt of design proposal.
  • Assist with drafting of construction work documents.
  • Assist with drafting of project authorization documents.
  • Assist with drafting of project review/status presentation slides.
  • Complete Purchasing Request forms for outsourced products and services for submission by the SDR to Procurement.
  • Submit completed design drawings to City of Livermore for Plan Check.
  • Assist with tracking permit review responses from team members.
  • Complete documents to procure independent construction cost estimates.
  • Draft Construction Initiation Letters for submission to Procurement including CSI Estimate form, and Wage determination labor rates.
  • Assist with Tracking Project RFI's and Submittals.
  • Provide updates to Project Change Order Log.
  • Provide monthly cost reports for active projects utilizing NTESS financial system information.
  • Assist with receiving As-Built Drawings, Operating and Maintenance manuals from construction subcontractors.
  • Track purchase orders and request closure when work is completed.
  • Provide field support in the areas of constructability reviews, value engineering, quality assurance, technical compliance of all contractors' construction activities that relate to the technical specifications, drawings, and contract deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience using various project delivery systems such as design-build, construction management, and traditional design-bid-build methodologies.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, all software necessary to successfully provide support as defined in functional requirements for the position.
  • Ability to learn governmental regulations, potential environmental impacts related to administrative practices and assigned business functions within SNL/CA Facilities.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, including proofreading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and implement processes to enhance workflow and data management.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment and interact with all levels of internal and external personnel, including the ability to network with senior internal and external administrative personnel.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Clearance.
  • Must be willing to be full-time onsite for the position.

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
