About the opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Project Level Geospatial Scientist to support major transmission projects. This role involves providing highly technical support and project leadership for our Electric Transmission Business Line projects. This position will be responsible for maintaining complex GIS systems, managing online data collection and working with project managers to deliver high-quality deliverables to our clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including client services, siting, natural, cultural, and paleontological resources. The ideal candidate should possess subject matter expertise, advanced GIS technical skills, strong organizational and project management abilities, and experience with electric transmission projects and environmental consulting. We also expect that this individual will have at least four to seven years of experience in a GIS Analyst role, with increasing professional responsibility over time. This is a full-time, regular (with full benefits), hourly position. The position will be based anywhere in the U.S and report to either our Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Minneapolis offices and can be remote. An employee in this position can expect the following salary: Associate Project Geospatial Scientist- $64,355.20 - $82,742.40/yr.; Project Geospatial Scientist- $71,385.60 - $91,936.00/yr., depending on experience, geographic locations, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
