Overview TRC, now a member of WSP, is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RPLS) to lead and support surveying services for some of North America's most significant utility, energy, pipeline, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. This position offers an opportunity to work alongside engineers, environmental scientists, right-of-way professionals, GIS specialists, and project managers delivering complex projects throughout the United States. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, oversee project execution, mentor survey professionals, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and client service. Whether supporting pipelines, transmission lines, substations, renewable energy facilities, transportation improvements, or large-scale utility programs, you will play a key role in delivering accurate survey and geospatial data that drives critical infrastructure decisions. Physical Demands This position combines office and field responsibilities. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift equipment up to approximately 40 pounds, walk several miles over uneven terrain, climb slopes, traverse wooded areas, and safely perform work at active construction sites and utility facilities. Work Environment Work is performed in office. Field assignments may involve travel throughout the United States and exposure to varying terrain and weather conditions including forests, wetlands, mountains, deserts, agricultural land, transmission corridors, pipeline rights-of-way, and active construction sites. Candidates may encounter environmental conditions including extreme temperatures, rain, snow, mud, dust, uneven terrain, poison ivy, poison oak, insects, snakes, wildlife, and other natural hazards. Compliance with TRC's safety policies, client safety requirements, and the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times. Technology You'll Use At TRC, our survey professionals utilize industry-leading technologies to deliver accurate, efficient, and innovative survey and geospatial solutions. Depending on project assignments, you may work with GNSS/GPS systems, robotic and scanning total stations, terrestrial laser scanners, UAV and mobile LiDAR platforms, hydrographic survey equipment, digital levels, GIS applications, cloud-based collaboration tools, and reality capture technologies. Office workflows commonly include Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and other advanced software used to process, analyze, manage, and deliver survey data for large-scale infrastructure projects. Projects You'll Help Deliver As a Professional Land Surveyor at TRC, you will contribute to projects that strengthen and modernize critical infrastructure across North America. Our teams support natural gas and liquid pipelines, electric transmission and distribution systems, substations, renewable energy developments, carbon capture and sequestration facilities, transportation corridors, water and wastewater infrastructure, telecommunications, industrial facilities, and large-scale utility and energy programs. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
