The Mopar Custom Shop Operations Manager role is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of vehicles within the MOPAR Custom Shop facilities assigned to them. In addition to, coordinating with the MOPAR Accessory Sales lead to assist in driving sales growth for Custom Shop Upfits. This involves but not limited to having strong leadership, good understanding of process constraints, manufacturing knowledge, organization, attention to detail, decision-making skills, and ability to work cross functionally with others. Objectives:
- Maintain constants communication with Custom Shop suppliers to ensure proper operations within their assigned locations
- Timely processing of vehicles
- Establish and maintain accurate upfit constraint details
- Review forecasting data to ensure demand is within constraints
- Lead communications between Custom Shops and cross function Stellantis departments
- Critically manage operations issues to minimize production disruptions
- Coordinate with MOPAR Custom Shop Program Management on the launch of new Upfit packages
- Establish First Look, Pre-PER, and coordinate with MOPAR Quality on PER unit(s)
- Ensure Custom Shop Upfit readiness is on time for launch
- Manage appropriate systems to ensure vehicles are routing to the appropriate locations, sale code data is added to manufacturing reporting, and constraints communicated to production planning for inclusion in their modeling
- Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to improve capacity
- Coordinate with MOPAR Accessory Sales lead on areas of opportunity to improve upfit sales
- Highlight underutilized capacity for additional sales volume
- Increase capacity where demand consistently exceeds capacity
- Assess other feedback regarding Custom Shop Upfits from the field
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 8 years' automotive experience in Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related fields
- Strong communication skills and ability to present information in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the company
- Passion and desire to lead Custom Shop operations to consistently delivers results; proven team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to work across all areas in an organization
- Analytical skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in direction or approach
- Program Management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the various teams within Stellantis and Mopar including but not limited to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Purchasing
- Understanding of Stellantis commercial operations, including dealer network and aftersales
