DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the training and administrative needs of the Pennsylvania State Police by handling records, communication, and event assistance. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Training Records: Create and maintain applicant training files and update course records
- Course Materials: Prepare rosters, certificates, confirmation notices, and organize related documents
- Communication Support: Respond to phone inquiries and distribute course information to internal and external contacts
- Workers Compensation: Serve as the Bureau's representative for workers compensation matters
- G I Bill Support: Assist the Certifying School Official with documentation for Veteran Cadets
- Event Assistance: Support departmental ceremonies by preparing materials and greeting attendees

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Six (6) months or more experience using Microsoft Word.
- Six (6) months or more experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Microsoft Access (or equivalent database program).
- Six (6) months or more experience in handling detailed files.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
