The Spirit of the Position:

TheGeneral Managersupports the Senior General Manager and Regional Vice President with a complete oversight for financials and operations of assigned portfolios to ensure 24/7 professional Parking and Transportation management. This portfolio consists of operations in Indianapolis, Fishers, Fort Wayne, and South Bend Indiana and includes a mix of special events, valet, airport, healthcare, commercial, and municipal parking operations.

As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the General Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned portfolios while always supporting and promoting the LAZ Culture of People First.

Principle Job Duties:


  • Manage, train, and develop direct reports and ensure accountability for consistent practices, goals and objectives for all staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations and succession planning.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, preparing budgets, profit/loss statements, and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all audit processes and procedures, safety regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations inclusive of mitigation of identified risks through comprehensive corrective action plans
  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Understand and fulfill all requirements outlined in contractual agreements with clients.
  • Develop strategic business plans and directions for assigned portfolios with a focus on maximizing revenue, managing expenses, and ensuring customer satisfaction by the maintenance of high service standards.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, prioritizing service recovery.
  • Expected travel to all Indiana operations on an as needed basis no more than 15% of total time. Most travel includes day trips and not many overnights are required. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • 7-10 years experience managing 24/7 operations.
  • 3-5 years Business Development experience.
  • 5+ years experience of P&L oversight preferred.
  • Experience leading a large-scale decentralized team and business model.

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience:


  • 8+ years in Management role.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Parking and Transportation management experience of multiple locations is required.

  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all stakeholders both internally and externally inclusive of facilitating coaching conversations with employees and managers while encouraging the open expression of ideas and opinions.

  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Demonstrable ability to encourage, delegate, mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
  • Demonstrable ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.

Physical Demands:


  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
