Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated and attentive candidate who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a ILS Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment in Pascagoula, MS in support of the LPD Programs

Responsibilities

Support PMS 377 by administering technical manual processes and administrative services. This effort directly sustains the Technical Library function and reinforces the program's configuration management objectives through the specific tasks outlined hereafter.

    • Administer Technical Library operations by processing all incoming engineering and technical documentation. This includes receiving newly issued drawings, archiving active ECNs, and filing technical manuals to preserve an accurate and auditable data repository.
    • Support program logistics by sourcing critical engineering data, ECNs, and technical manuals from the Technical Library under Government direction. This process utilizes modern Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) environments alongside traditional contract and engineering change documentation to ensure reference data accuracy.
    • Support data integrity efforts by administering the Government-maintained technical manual database. This includes uploading incoming technical publications, maintaining comprehensive inventory tracking, and providing leadership with actionable system-generated reports.
    • Review applicable Shipbuilder CDRLs to determine their impact on the Planned Maintenance System (PMS). Deliver all assessment results directly to PMS 377 and the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Gulf Coast (SSGC).
    • Validate and verify all new and modified shipboard equipment post-installation during the construction process. Ensure all ILS records-including APL/AELs, technical manuals, and PMS data-accurately match the physical as-built configuration.
    • Support the Government's configuration management process by auditing engineering systems' technical data, drawings, manuals, and ILS documentation. Identify all necessary updates by comparing current baselines against new contract specifications. Deliver the technical insights needed to successfully establish and document the newly mandated contract baseline.
    • Review each ship's configuration baseline using contract specs, drawings, manuals, and logistics data. Research and verify the availability of all components, equipment, and parts. Query the Naval Supply System, ISEA, and PARMs to find supply sources for engineering systems and replacements. Validate pricing, units of issue, cognizance codes, NSNs, and logistics data to ensure testing and installation remain on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
  • Prior experience with USN LPD Platform and Auxiliary Test and Evaluation is a plus.
  • Experience managing material receipt, inventory, and shipping.
  • New Construction Shipbuilding experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Associate's Degree or High School diploma with over 5 years of experience performing logistics work in support of Navy Ships
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching for extended periods (up to 8 hours) without undue fatigue.
