What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a skilled Security Engineering Designer / BIM Modeller who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and assisting in managing security systems for our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering, experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), and proficiency in low voltage system design. Experience with Dynamo and Python to assist with automation tools is highly desirable. Experience with security design for data centers and factories is also highly desirable.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and produce security system design documentation using Revit
  • Coordinate closely with Security Project Managers to align models with project requirements
  • Create and maintain BIM Models and back-of-house drafting standards for consistency across projects
  • Use Dynamo to automate repetitive tasks and enhance design efficiency within Revit
  • Draft and model physical security systems such as access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection
  • Support QA/QC efforts to ensure documentation meets internal and client standards
  • Adapt and revise documentation based on evolving project needs and feedback
  • Assist in developing workflows that improve drafting accuracy and efficiency

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in security system design and BIM modeling
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection
  • Experience in designing low voltage systems and creating one-line diagrams
  • Familiarity with design standards and regulatory requirements related to security systems and low voltage design
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    Expected Compensation
    $124,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
