Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our Surgical Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of operating room (OR) surgical instruments, instrument sets, and specialty linen trays. You will play a vital role in patient safety by strictly maintaining sterilization standards recommended by JCAHO, AAMI, and hospital policy.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent.

  • Previous hospital experience preferred but not mandatory. Will be trained and inserviced on the safe operation and use of department machinery.

  • Must be certified as a Tech II within a 14 month period of employment.
