PART-TIME RECYCLING DRIVER/CDL (RECYCLING) $20.00 HOURLY/ $20,000 ANNUALLY Application and job description can be found at the Courthouse. Submit an application to HR Dept. Courthouse, 61 E. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB * Operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks, roll off trucks, compactors, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. * Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit. * Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing downtime. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. * Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logs, mileage, and delivery receipts. * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including hours-of-service requirements. * Communicate effectively with supervisors to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues or delays. * Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, as needed, and ensure the accurate counting and inspection of freight. * Handle paperwork and documentation associated with shipments, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations. * Operate equipment, such as liftgates forklifts, skid steers, mini excavator pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to facilitate the loading and unloading process. * Maintain a clean and organized truck. * Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices. * Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and handling inquiries or concerns. * Assist at recycling center when necessary. * Follow company policies and procedures related to driver safety, performance, and conduct. OTHER DUTIES OF THE JOB * Attending meetings, training as required. * Performs other job-related duties as required. * Assist at recycling center with other duties when necessary. SUPERVISION RECEIVED * Receives daily instruction and supervision from Operations Manager regarding daily work duties. SUPERVISION GIVEN None WORKING CONDITIONS * Works indoors & outdoors in all weather * Works with average indoor & outdoor exposure to noise, stress, and disruptions. * Exposure to dust/dirt. * Periodically works beyond normal work hours or works on-call or on an asneeded basis.
