As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Duty in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic tech-focused location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will respond to security-related concerns, document activity, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values to every shift through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office spaces, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas while verifying credentials, observing site activity, and supporting visitor management processes in a technology-focused location.
• Assist with incident response, alarm-related notifications, and policy compliance observations while maintaining a professional presence and delivering clear communication to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
