THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 3A to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in Northtowne Square in Gibsonia.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on leading all aspects of daily store operations and supporting strong customer service. As a key leader, you will guide staff, maintain a safe and organized store environment, and work toward exceeding sales targets. As a General Manager 3A, you will perform the following duties:

  • Store Leadership: Lead store operations and guide staff to meet daily goals
  • Staff Development: Coach employees and support their growth through training and feedback
  • Sales Support: Advance sales efforts by managing inventory, stocking products, and assisting customers
  • Store Conditions: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for staff and customers
  • Compliance Duties: Follow all laws, regulations, and policies related to alcohol sales
  • Record Management: Handle cash, track sales, and keep accurate records

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Liquor Store General Manager 2B (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Four years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Five years of supervisory retail sales work.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
