Auria is looking to hire a Mission Operations Center (MOC) Manager to support a classified mission operations program for the U.S. Space Force. In the early phases of the program, this role serves as the primary training and certification lead, responsible for capturing operator training requirements and building the training curriculum that prepares Guardians for full operational certification. As the program matures and the MOC facility becomes operational, this individual transitions to managing daily MOC operations. The strongest candidates will bring both space operations experience and a background in structured training and curriculum development.
Primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO (hybrid). Travel to Government facilities may be required.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Serve as the program Training Director in early phases: capture all operator training and certification requirements, document them as program baselines, and initiate curriculum development.
- Build the MOC training program from the ground up - develop training curriculum, define certification standards, and coordinate training delivery as Mission Directors and operators phase in.
- Coordinate training requirements with the Government customer to ensure the training program supports Guardians achieving full operational certification prior to MOC activation.
- As the facility transitions to operational status, assume full MOC Manager responsibilities: oversee daily operations, manage crew scheduling and readiness, and serve as the primary operational interface with the Government.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation for MOC operations, alert response, and mission continuity.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Metrics for MOC operations; report status to program leadership and the Government customer.
- Lead and manage the MOC operations team, including Mission Directors, Operators, and assigned support staff.
- Coordinate with the Cybersecurity Lead and Facility Security Officer on classified information handling, personnel security compliance, and SCIF operational requirements.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline).
- 5-8 years of experience in space operations, network operations, or mission operations environments, with demonstrated experience in training program development or curriculum design.
- Prior experience operating in or managing a classified 24/7 operations center environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute structured training programs for technical or mission-critical roles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills; ability to manage a diverse operations team and interface directly with the Government customer.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Current U.S. Government Top SECRET clearance.
- Experience supporting DoW, U.S. Space Force, USSPACECOM, or Space Systems Command missions in an operations or training capacity.
- Familiarity with Space Domain Awareness (SDA) or satellite ground system operations and command and control workflows.
- Prior experience as a Mission Director or Operations Supervisor in a Government or defense contractor operations environment.
- CISSP, Security+, or equivalent DoW 8140 certification.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $82,205 - $135,000
APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 31, 2026
