Position Summary

Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will deliver fully compliant manufacturing packages for 'New Unit' and 'Retrofit' projects across the Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Marine markets served by the Company.

The Engineer will gain experience by working with a broad range of customers including major OEM's while working with a Senior Engineer.

Main Duties

  1. Work to produce zero safety issues within the workplace and our products

  2. Ensure first class customer service experience with timely & accurate technical support

  3. Ensure consistency between Technical Proposal and contract specifications

  4. Maintain project schedules to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget

  5. Manage sub-contract (external) design teams to deliver design packages on time and within budget

  6. Create designs compliant to customer specifications and applicable regulatory codes and standards

  7. Provide fully engineered manufacturing packages for successful fabrication of our products including specification &creation of datasheets for purchased components

  8. Create 'Long Lead' and 'Final' Bill of Materials (BOMs) within ERP system

  9. Perform internal and external design status review for each technical area of assigned responsibility

  10. Commercially aware and quick to identify & support scope change opportunities to the Project Manager

  11. Specify and support drawing and design activities including review / verification

  12. Technical interface, liaising with Design Engineers, Drawing Office, QA, Suppliers & Customers

  13. Make best use of pre-engineered components and contribute to standardization initiatives

  14. Create Installation Operation & Maintenance manuals (IOM's)

  15. Prompt Resolution of Technical/concession requests with consideration to schedule and cost impact.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  1. Engineering degree

    1. Mechanical Engineering - Preferred

  2. Review 3D models and 2D drawings to ensure successful defect free design for manufacture - cost reduction, access for welds, access for painting, drain systems, clash detection etc.

  3. Awareness of international engineering standards, regulations and export control requirements

  4. Software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD experience, ERP experience

  5. Full driving license

  6. Ability to travel in and outside the USA, up to 15%
