Aquent Studios is seeking a highly strategic and consultative Managing Director, Strategic Accounts to lead senior enterprise client relationships, drive business development, and expand growth across priority accounts.

This role owns the commercial health and strategic roadmap for a select portfolio of major enterprise clients. The focus is on building trusted relationships with CMOs, SVPs, and senior leaders across marketing, creative, digital, operations, procurement, technology, and transformation, while shaping scalable solutions across creative operations, content supply chain, AI enabled production, technology enabled services, and marketing modernization.

This is a senior account leadership role for an expert relationship builder, commercial leader, and strategic problem solver. The Managing Director will identify whitespace, grow existing and new accounts, shape higher value opportunities, and partner with Engagement Managers and cross functional teams to deliver measurable client and business value.

Core responsibilities:

Strategic Account Growth and Business Development

Executive relationship development: Build trusted relationships with senior client leaders and establish Aquent Studios as a strategic advisor on business priorities, operating model challenges, content effectiveness, speed to market, cost efficiency, AI, automation, and technology enablement.

Account growth roadmaps: Develop and execute growth plans for priority accounts by identifying whitespace, expanding into new buying centers, building pipeline, and addressing complex client business problems.

Commercial opportunity development: Translate client priorities into high value proposals, pricing models, commercial approaches, and managed service solutions across creative operations, content transformation, AI enabled workflows, technology enabled services, and marketing modernization.

Senior Client Relationship Leadership

Trusted advisor approach: Cultivate senior client relationships through strong business understanding, active listening, executive presence, and a deep understanding of enterprise business challenges.

Market and client insight: Bring a strong perspective on the priorities shaping enterprise marketing organizations, including content demand, speed to market, creative operations, technology enablement, AI adoption, and the need for more scalable ways of working.

Commercial Stewardship and Scalable Growth

Account level commercial ownership: Drive revenue growth, margin performance, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and opportunity quality across assigned accounts.

Scalable account architecture: Build repeatable growth strategies, scalable engagement models, and commercially sustainable account plans rather than relying on isolated, one off opportunities.

Internal Leadership and Cross Functional Mobilization

Account team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop engagement teams and other client facing leaders, with a focus on executive presence, commercial judgement, account growth, and strategic problem solving.

Studios capability mobilization: Partner across strategy, creative, production, operations, technology, finance, and executive leadership to bring the full strength of Aquent Studios to client opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 12 + years of relevant experience: Proven track record in senior account leadership, business development, client partnership, marketing transformation, consulting, agency leadership, creative operations, technology services, or managed services.
  • Marketing and transformation expertise: Strong experience in the marketing, design, creative operations, content, digital, or technology space, with the ability to credibly engage senior marketing leaders.
  • Consultative business development: Demonstrated ability to build executive trust, navigate complex stakeholder environments, develop new business, and expand existing enterprise accounts.
  • Enterprise account growth experience: Experience managing large, complex account portfolios with accountability for revenue growth, forecasting, margin performance, pipeline development, and opportunity qualification.
  • Technology and AI literacy: Strong understanding of creative operations, digital workflows, content supply chain, AI enabled production, technology enabled services, or marketing operating model change.
  • Leadership experience: Experience leading teams and developing client facing talent in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Preferred background: Experience in consulting, professional services, enterprise agency environments, or large strategic account roles is strongly preferred.
  • Geographic flexibility: Remote position with travel required as needed. Primary account presence is on the East Coast, with a preference for East Coast or Central time zones. Exceptional candidates in other locations will be considered.

Compensation Range: $150 -160K DOE
