Description
Turn Your Paint-Line Experience into a Specialized Technical Role

Do you have paint-line experience and a strong understanding of chemicals and want to take those skills beyond a traditional production position?

We're looking for a 2nd Shift Waste Treatment Technician to join our Fond du Lac team. This hands-on technical position combines laboratory testing, chemical process control, environmental requirements, and manufacturing support.

You'll monitor and adjust processes, prepare chemical solutions, perform testing, maintain accurate records, and help ensure our operations meet established safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.

If you're experienced with paint finishing, powder coating, wet spray, or related manufacturing processes and are ready to build additional technical skills, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Waste Treatment Technician, you'll:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Obtain samples for laboratory testing and bacteria checks.
  • Monitor and adjust control devices to achieve proper chemical reactions.
  • Prepare chemical solutions used in the process.
  • Clean laboratory equipment and calibrate instruments.
  • Complete required regulatory testing reports.
  • Properly label hazardous waste drums.
  • Perform annual testing for customers.
  • Follow established safety and environmental procedures.

What We're Looking For

This position could be a strong fit if you have:

  • Paint-line experience
  • A strong understanding of chemicals
  • Knowledge of powder coating, wet spray, or electrostatic application processes
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfort working with numbers, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Effective communication skills
  • A strong commitment to following safety and environmental procedures
  • Fluency in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Paint-line experience required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Strong understanding of chemicals required.

Candidates with hands-on experience in paint-line operations, powder coating, wet spray applications, electrostatic finishing, chemical processes, or related manufacturing environments may find their experience transfers well to this position.

What to Expect

This is an active, hands-on manufacturing and laboratory support position. You must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, and/or walk throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift.
  • Reach and/or pull throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

If you've built experience on a paint line and are ready for something more technical, this position provides the opportunity to put that experience to work in a different way.

You'll use and develop skills involving:

  • Chemical process monitoring
  • Laboratory testing
  • Paint and finishing processes
  • Chemical solution preparation
  • Equipment calibration
  • Environmental and regulatory documentation
  • Quality and process control

Rather than simply operating production equipment, you'll help monitor and control the processes that support safe and effective manufacturing operations.

Bring Your Experience to Our 2nd Shift Team

If you're currently working as a Paint Line Operator, Powder Coat Operator, Paint Technician, Finishing Technician, Chemical Process Operator, or in a similar manufacturing role and want to expand your technical experience, this may be a great next step.
