Software Engineer - UX & Cloud Application Development

Location: Raymond, OH | Pay: $61.58-$62.00/hr.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a high-impact contract opportunity focused on UX innovation, cloud-based applications, and advanced software development. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys coding, prototyping, and building scalable applications that improve user experience and product performance.

The primary focus of this role is heads-down software development, collaborating with lead engineers to create prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions, and production-ready applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support cloud-connected software applications
• Build intuitive, high-performance user experience (UX) solutions
• Develop front-end and back-end functionality across full-stack environments
• Write and maintain clean, scalable code using Python, C++, Java, and related technologies
• Support prototyping, proof-of-value, and proof-of-concept initiatives
• Collaborate within Agile development teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Integrate applications with AWS cloud services and modern development tools
• Ensure secure software design following cybersecurity best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience with Python and C++
• Full-stack development experience with GUI application development
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React or Kotlin (Android)
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
• Embedded software experience is a plus
