This role offers an exceptional opportunity to join Salesforce's Antitrust & Competition Legal team - a small, high-impact group that advises on competition law matters across Salesforce's global business. You'll work on sophisticated issues at the intersection of technology, M&A, and regulatory affairs.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Head of Antitrust & Competition Legal and will work out of the beautiful Salesforce office 3 days a week in either D.C. or San Francisco.

Responsibilities
  • Advise Product, Sales, Distribution, Legal, and other internal teams on a wide range of competition law matters related to Salesforce's U.S. and global business activities

  • Provide strategic antitrust support to the Corporate Development and Legal teams on M&A transactions, investments, and strategic partnerships, including overseeing antitrust filings and regulator engagement across jurisdictions

  • Coordinate responses to antitrust inquiries from enforcement agencies globally, including preparing responses to third-party questionnaires, RFIs, and interview requests

  • Analyze competition law compliance issues relating to Salesforce's commercial arrangements, distribution agreements, strategic relationships, and product collaborations

  • Partner with the Global Ethics & Integrity team to develop and deliver competition law training and awareness programs across the business

  • Monitor antitrust regulatory developments and enforcement trends globally and assess implications for Salesforce

  • Partner with Government Affairs on proactive engagement with regulators and external stakeholders

  • Retain and manage outside counsel on antitrust matters

Desired Skills & Experience
  • At least 4-8 years of antitrust law experience at a top-tier law firm, government agency (e.g., DOJ Antitrust Division, FTC), or in-house

  • Substantive expertise across the spectrum of competition law, including mergers and acquisitions, vertical and horizontal restraints, and commercial arrangements

  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to provide clear, practical advice to business clients

  • Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-paced team environment

  • J.D. and admission to at least one state bar required

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
