Position Summary

The Lead Medical Instructor - Personal Protection is a hands-on instructional role responsible for the medical training vertical within the Personal Protection Training program. This position reports to the Training Manager group, and leads medical instruction for new hire training, recurrent sustainment training, adjunct instructor development, and administration of medical training center and facility requirements.

This working manager role for the medical function inside Personal Protection is suited for a credible instructor who can teach at tactical and agent level while also maintaining curriculum, records, licensing relationships, and program quality.

The ideal candidate is a current Paramedic or higher with strong experience teaching law enforcement, close protection, military, or similarly operational teams. The individual must be comfortable delivering both certification-based courses and custom modules tailored to the realities of protective operations.

What You Will Work On:

Instruction & Delivery

  • Lead medical instruction within new hire courses for Personal Protection Agents.
  • Deliver ongoing medical sustainment training for operational personnel and support periodic readiness validation.
  • Teach certification-based programs as well as custom tactical and protective medicine modules.
  • Provide practical, scenario-based instruction aligned to the operating realities of agents and protective teams.

Curriculum & Program Ownership

  • Maintain and refine medical curriculum for Personal Protection, ensuring content remains current, credible, and field relevant.
  • Develop custom training blocks that support trauma care, casualty response, emergency decision-making, and care in dynamic protective environments.
  • Standardize lesson plans, instructor materials, student materials, and evaluation tools across the medical training lane.

Instructor Development & Quality Control

  • Support development of adjunct or additional-duty instructors who assist with medical delivery.
  • Evaluate instructional quality, coach instructors, and ensure consistent standards in presentation, skills validation, and documentation.
  • Maintain oversight of instructor credentials and support compliance with authorization requirements under applicable training centers.

Licensing, Records & Facility Management

  • Manage training center and facility requirements associated with organizations such as AHA, NAEMT, and Red Cross.
  • Maintain course rosters, completion records, compliance documentation, equipment readiness, and audit preparedness.
  • Coordinate medical training supplies, consumables, classroom setup, and administrative support required for delivery.

Revenue & Operational Support

  • Contribute to cost recovery through client-facing instructional delivery, external certification courses, custom training engagements, and/or approved billable support work.
  • Support the broader business by helping grow medical training capability in ways that are operationally credible and commercially useful.

What You Will Bring:

  • Current Paramedic licensure or higher.
  • Instructor certifications history
  • Experience teaching law enforcement, military, close protection, security, or other tactical audiences.
  • Strong ability to teach adult learners through practical, scenario-based instruction.
  • Experience delivering certification programs and custom medical training.
  • Ability to manage records, compliance, equipment, and program administration.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AHA BLS-Provider and Heart saver Instructor Certifications
  • NAEMT Instructor certification, particularly TECC, EPC, or related operational programs.
  • Background in tactical, austere, emergency, or protective medicine.
  • Experience instructing executive protection or specialized security teams.
  • Familiarity with AHA, NAEMT, Red Cross, or similar training center/facility requirements.
  • Experience contributing to revenue through external training or billable support work.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working operationally in the Close Protection/Executive Protection space or working within the Security Sector, operationally or as an embedded medic

Role Profile

  • Hands-on instructional leader who is comfortable teaching at the agent level rather than operating primarily as an administrator.
  • Operationally credible professional who can relate medical content to the pace, discretion, and decision-making demands of protective work.
  • Organized program owner who can manage medical training details without losing instructional quality or field relevance.

Location & Travel

Remote role with significant travel required (domestic and international).

All locations considered. East Coast (DC, Chicago, Maryland, Virginia) or San Francisco Bay Area preferred

Information Security

Protect the data and systems of Crisis24 and its stakeholders by adhering to policies, reporting incidents and potential problems, completing regular training, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
